As a family man myself I have a deep understanding of both the parent and child perspective, which allows me to deliver an excellent standard of care. My team and I strive hard to listen to the child and, wherever possible, to talk directly to them about their treatment programme, as well as their parents/carers, and outline clear plans with a roadmap right from the outset.
All consultations, examinations and follow up appointments will be with me and my team, so you and your child receive consistency of care and a personalised, one-to-one service.
My patient and parent friendly approach is reflected in the cards, letters and positive feedback I receive from my patients and their carers, examples of which are available to view in the gallery.
As a private consultancy practice we can offer far swifter response times than may be offered by the NHS.
For example, a scan of the tummy (ultrasound scan) can be done within one week of consultation, or an endoscopy (camera in the digestive system) can be offered within 2-4 weeks from consultation.
I also offer a 24 hour response service for urgent queries.
With over 15 years in the field of paediatrics, and over 10 years in the field of paediatric gastroenterology, I’ve had the privilege of being the Head of the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where I’ve also received three Consultant Excellence Awards.
A recognised leader in my field, I’ve been invited to speak as an expert by learned societies, such as the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and the World Congress of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Health and Nutrition (WCPGHAN) in Montreal, Canada.
